You get a call about someone asking for an investigation. The suspect claims he has been abused by the suspecting officer. What would you do?: First, read him miranda rights. Secondly collect hes/her information. Third, Collect information of the crime and suspecting officers and witnesses. Than listen to storys from all sides. If possible look for evidence material and things that may connect to situation. Example if police officer claims that suspect had a desert eagle i search suspect to find out if he has one. If possible search the areas where crime iccident mainly happend if needed. And than composise one story and make decision.
